comScore and Crackle have teamed together to measure the audience across all devices in which Crackle can be played. Online metrics have been unable to come up with a number that includes devices like connected TVs and video game consoles. comScore and Crackle aim to solve that.

It looks like Jerry Seinfeld and friends will be trying to offer up a comedy/interview web series later this month , with "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee."

The International Academy of Web Television (IAWTV) have announced nominees with the awards to be given out on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at a live ceremony at the Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas during the prestigious International CES. Nominees for the Inaugural IAWTV Web TV Awards were chosen by majority vote of the active voting membership of the IAWTV from over 350 officially submitted web series. Only episodes of a web series as defined by the IAWTV that were released during the period of January 1, 2010 through October 31, 2011 were considered for nomination in the Inaugural IAWTV Awards and only so long as at least two or more episodes of the web series were released within the eligibility period.

Roku just made two announcements today, the new Roku LT which is $10 cheaper than the Roku 2 HD, yet also offers 720p like that model. It seems more like a muddling of the market on their part than an actual addition to their lineup.

Bloomberg wrote up some thoughts on where it looks like the new Microsoft Xbox TV initiative is headed and I have to admit, I like what it looks like. Basically, it could position the Xbox 360 as the single piece of tech you need for all your video-based entertainment needs: gaming, DVD, cable TV.
