ABC is making their live broadcasts available through their "Watch ABC" app, which is being regarded as a move to combat embattled live-streaming service Aereo. ABC becomes the first major network to make an app available to broadcast all their shows live.
Google+ Hangouts-On-Air have added some nifty features: live rewind for those who can't stay at their screens during certain moments of the live stream, instant publishing for those who want to watch the hangout immediately after it has aired, and better mobile video quality.

Did you know there's a carriage fee war going on? DirecTV dropped all of Viacom's channels and had a banner running on July 11th stating that Viacom wanted consumers to pay $1B more in fees to keep the channels. Viacom for their part said that DirecTV was getting ready to drop the channels to prevent its viewers from seeing their favorite shows (tsk, tsk)
We've been hearing about Google's video glasses for awhile, and today, Google released footage of Google Glass at work, by enlisting a team of skydivers, base-jumpers, and cyclists to deliver the images of the glasses in action via live video to Google Hangouts.
