I wouldn't do anything about this transaction.

Ask them to confirm their fees for a 5 and for a 6 bed apartment. It may be that they are the same, or that their fees are just a percentage of the rental income. If they are different, you should ask them to correct it going forward, and hopefully you'll get some goodwill credit with them for pointing out that they were undercharging you.

Looking forward, I'd open an account with a bank local to your agent. Perhaps even at the same bank and branch. You can then receive money (and pay out locally) without any issues. Transferring your funds to a UK bank should be simple, and you may find that you can do it over the internet.

Speak to the police, not about return of your deposit because this is another issue. Contact the station close to where the site is, if the site exists, it may be that they do have issues. All sounds a bit iffy to me.

Try a google search for the name of the site, if they exist, you will have some information there, search images too as most people put their holiday snaps on the net. If they are scamming, you may find info on this too.

If they are scamming, file a complaint and have it dealt with through the courts.

You have a good chance of return as you paid by cheque.

The only way it is an issue is if the owner of the company does not approve of it. Most national companies or public companies won't allow these types of things because some people find them offensive and they'd rather not deal with the flak from people.

If it is a small company and this person has the owner's approval, you have two choices. Ignore and continue on or find another job.

I live in an area dominated by Christians who are anxious to share their faith. A lot of tradespeople use the 'Jesus fish' in their logos. Personally, I won't do business with any of them. I should send them all notes telling them they lost business because of it.

To the people who don't think it's an issue, imagine if the person didn't share your religious convictions. If the phrases were 'Praise Allah' or 'Shalom' you'd probably be offended.

good luck!

Your attitude offends me. Can I call the gov't and ask them to shut down Yahoo! Answers b/c what you are saying bothers me?

If I was your tenent I would send you a very nasty and very polite letter telling you that if I wanted to be preached to that I would go to church .
Btw the way it is Freedom FROM Religion
The only possible way that one can ever have freedom of anything is if one has freedom from something .

Of course it's legal. What if he had a habit of constantly quoting Shakespeare and telling you when and where his plays are being performed? It's his company, he is not an agent of the government.

If it offends you and you think it is hurting your income start looking for a new job.

If he REQUIRES you to accept/profess a particular religion there may be a problem, but this is not the case here.

There is Freedom of Religion, NOT freeedom FROM religion.

I think it is great and I bet most of his customers di.

As you say: The BOSS sent these out. If you do not like find a new job.

How about some tolerence for other people's believes. You seem very narrow minded.

If it offends you so much get another job.

Protect?

He can freely express his religious views. You are actually the one in violation of the law by trying to deny him his legal right to "freedom of religion".

You are the one with the problem, not him. You may want to try and overcome your prejudice and lack of tolerance.
